The joy of a Humanist Wedding is that it can be anything that you want it to be, the usual format is something like this but it can be altered or amended to work with your style or ideas.

• Thoughts on love and marriage
• Your story, how you met and why you are here today
• Readings, poetry, music - whatever feels right for you, I can help with suggestions.
• Your vows and commitments to each other, you can write your own or I can help.
• A symbolic act or two, I have a wealth of information to help you choose.
• You can also involve the guests in some way if you wish.
• A ceremony that is a mix of solemnity and lightness, love, laughter, romance, humour and possibly tears of the good variety.
• Your choice of style and content
• A wealth of love and guidance from poetry and reading ideas to suggestions as to how to implement your plans and write your vows.
• As much support as you need heading towards the big day.
• A rehearsal at your venue a day or two before the ceremony.
• I will be there early on your wedding day and deliver your perfect ceremony.
• A presentation copy of your ceremony, to cherish and remember your special day.

Initially

• Our first step is a quick chat over the phone or over zoom, to make sure that I understand what you are looking for and that you feel comfortable with me as your celebrant*

Planning

• Hooray! You decide to book me, we are doing this!
• We book your date into the diary and I send you some questions to think about before our first get to together.
• We then plan a face to face meeting, ideally somewhere friendly, comfortable and relaxing as we will be together probably about 2-3 hours chatting and getting to know each other properly and discussing ideas and styles so that I have lots of information to begin drafting your wedding script.
• We can set up a WhatsApp group for all those little ideas and queries between the planning meeting and your wedding day itself.
• I then write your personal wedding script including all the fabulous, quirky things that we have talked about and discussed, add in the music, the readings and the magic that brings it to life and make it uniquely yours. 
• You are then able to suggest tweaks or amendments until you are totally happy.
• A day or two before your wedding I am happy tp meet you for a rehearsal at the venue or by video if that is better for you.

On The Day

• I am exclusively yours for the day, I only ever book one wedding a day so I am completely flexible and there to help.
• Travel to and from your venue.
• Happy to help with whatever needs doing before the ceremony, I also have a "Just in Case" bag with everything from safety pins and sewing thread to pens and paper because you never know when you will need them.
• Conducting your fabulous, personal and Quirky Ceremony, we will include everyone and make sure that your wedding ceremony is at the heart of your day.
• Include any symbolic acts that you have chosen.
• Create a beautiful Wedding Certificate for you to sign on the day.

Afterwards

• I will send you a presentation script of your wedding ceremony so that you can enjoy and reflect upon your perfect day.

*It is important that you choose the right celebrant for you, just like our couples, all wedding celebrants are different but what we all want is to make sure that you have the best wedding you can imagine so if I am not for you I am sure to be able to suggest another of my colleagues who may be a better fit.
